Talented Guard Still Open

Lashard Anderson, one of the top unsigned point guard prospect in the West Coast class of 2007, has taken an unofficial visit to a Big West program. However, he's still undecided as to his college destination...

Lashard Anderson, 5-10 SR PG San Diego (Calif.) Serra, is one of the top unsigned seniors on the West Coast. Anderson is averaging close to 25 points a game this year, to go with seven assists, and he's topped 30 points in each of his last four games. He has excellent quickness and a solid stroke to 19-20 feet. Schools that are still looking for a point guard in the 2007 class would be well-advised to take a look at Anderson.

We spoke with Anderson recently and told us he's been hearing from Long Beach State, UC Davis, Santa Clara and Army.

"I took an unofficial visit earlier this year to Long Beach St.," said Anderson. "I liked the school and the coaching staff, as well as their style of play. Long Beach State is probably my favorite right now."

Anderson said he hopes to take some more visits after the conclusion of his senior season.

"I talked with UC Davis about maybe taking a trip up there," said Anderson.
