Top 10 Prep Poll Update

The separation is minimal among the Top 3 teams in the poll. Each team has a pair of losses, but two of them will go up against one another later this month in Rhode Island. Check out who the top prep teams are in the country in the latest poll.

Comments:Whit Lesure's club has suffered a pair of losses, but the Wolverines still get the nod at No. 1 as a result of their victory over Notre Dame at a neutral site last weekend. One of Bridgton's setbacks came without Justin Burrell against MCI. The other came at Lee Academy. Burrell had 28 points and Greg Hill added 20 in the win against Notre Dame Prep.
Comments:The Crusaders had a chance to move into the top spot, but a loss against Bridgton at the MCI Tournament kept Michael Beasley & Co., at No. 2. Beasley (Kansas State) led ND Prep with 28 points in the loss to Bridgton and is averaging a team-high 24 points and 14 boards per contest. Damian Saunders is also averaging a double-double (11 points, 11 boards) per game.
Comments:Chris Chaney's two losses have come to top-ranked Bridgton - and a setback a couple weeks ago against No. 2 Notre Dame at the Hall of Fame Classic. Jeremy Hazell (Seton Hall) leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game while Tirrell Baines, an unsigned senior power forward, is putting up 12 points and 11 boards per contest.
Comments:The boys from the Windy City have won nine straight since the last poll - including victories against Stoneridge, Cornerstone, Harmony's B team, Rise Academy and Christian Life Center. Mac Koshwal leads the team in scoring (22 ppg) and rebounding (13 rpg) while Jeremiah Kelly has played well of late and is averaging 16 points per contest.
Comments:Jason Smith's team has lost a pair of South Kent and one to Boys to Men out in California, but other than that, it's been smooth-sailing. Wins have come against Stoneridge, MCI, Northfield Mount Hermon and Winchendon. Tristan Thompson has averaged 25 points over the last two victories.
Comments:Kevin Keatts & Co. have reeled off 11 straight wins - with victories coming against Northfield Mount Hermon, Decatur Christian and a pair against Massanutten Military Academy. The big test will be in a few weeks against Patterson. Mike Scott leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game while Jeff Allen is putting up 16.5 points and 11 boards per game.
Comments:Bill Batty's club has won five straight since a loss to Hargrave at the Hall of Fame Tournament. Tyrone Nash (Notre Dame) had 37 points and 12 boards in a win against New Hampton while unsigned senior guard Gary Correia added 22 points and 15 assists. Correia had 19 - all in the second half - in the loss to Hargrave while Jerrell Williams finished with 18 points and 10 boards.
Comments:Honestly, you can flip a coin from No. 8-10. Raphael Chillious' club struggled and lost four straight at one point and had another four-game losing skid. However, they have a pair of wins against No. 5 Brewster to their credit. Isaiah Thomas is averaging 24 points per game and Matthew Bryan-Amaning is scoring 17.5 points and grabbing 9.5 boards per game.
Comments:Mike Byrnes & Co. suffered a tough loss to Harmony at the Hall of Fame Tournament, but the Winch has bounced back with wins against St. Thomas More, Edison and Lee Academy. A big game is on tap for Friday night at home against No. 2 Notre Dame Prep.
Comments:Babacar Sy's team has some quality wins against Lee Academy, St. Thomas More and South Kent, However, they have been erratic and have lost two straight against Genesis One and Laurinburg. Junior point guard Angelo Johnson leads the team in scoring (14.1) and assists (4.3).
