West Virginia Conducted Visit
Franklin Young participated at the 2002 Nike All-American Camp and played with John Adkins on the Tallahassee Wildcats. The 6-5 Young carved out himself a reputation as a shooter. Now, he's got a nice list of five schools.
West Virginia, Tulane, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern and Florida State have shown interest. Each school, minus Florida State, has offered him a scholarship. In fact, he's already taken one official visit.
Last weekend, he tripped to West Virginia. "It went fine," Young said. "I met with all the coaches and the players. I like the school atmosphere."
Tulane is going to receive a visit from Young this month though the date is not set in stone. Florida A&M and Georgia Southern are also likely contenders for official visits.
"I want to play in a system where I can shoot the ball, shoot the three a lot and create. I'll be looking at the coaches and good the program is both academic and athletic."
Young averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds last year. He had a high game of 29 points and was an honorable-mention all-state performer.
