Big Man Rests At Two

Winston-Salem (NC) Reynolds center Eddie Green-Long is down to a pair of schools. He's already visited one of campuses and it would appear in some way shape or form that he'll play in the CAA.

JMU, GMU Doing Battle

Recently, Eddie Green-Long visited James Madison. The visit with the Dukes went over extremely well. But, while the pivot man liked what he saw in Harrisonburg, he's willing to give one more program a shot.

"The only thing I did was go on an unofficial to George Mason," Green-Long said. "GMU has been recruiting me for a long time. Even though I like JMU, a lot of my family says they think it'll only be fair if I go up to George Mason."

Patriots head coach Jim Larranaga visited with Green-Long on Monday. The two parties are trying to hammer out a date for a visit to take place. "They are deciding right now when would be the best time for me to [visit]. I was supposed to go Oct. 19 but I don't want to wait that long."

Green-Long sounds like a young man who will pull the trigger just as soon as he sorts through one final visit. "As of right now, like I said, I went to James Madison and had a lot of fun. It's been a while since I've been to George Mason and I didn't really talk to the guys like I want to. As of right now, nobody leads."

But, that will change in the near future.
