We spoke with Fred Washington, 6-4 SR SF Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery, last night and asked him about the schools he's still considering. "Stanford, Washington, Loyola Marymount, Irvine and Yale," said Washington.
Stanford and Irvine had in-home visits set up with Washington, but they have been rescheduled. Yale and Loyola Marymount will also be in the Washington home at some point.
When asked about official visits, Washington said, "I'll go to Stanford in October and I also want to trip to Washington." Earlier this summer, Washington took unofficial trips to Irvine and Loyola Marymount.
We asked Washington about the timing of his decison and he said, "I'm not sure -- hopefully in the fall."
Washington just discovered recently that he played this past summer with a hairline fracture in his left hand (his shooting hand). He told us he should be fine when his senior season starts.
Washington is an excellent student and he is fully qualified.
