The former Georgia Tech head coach played a very large role in the signing. "It was Coach Cremins," Wiggins said of the reason why he picked the school. "He's been through a lot and he's like one of the greatest coaches ever and I thought it would be a privilege to play for someone with that prestige."
Last season, Wiggins averaged 26.3 points and 11 boards. His recruitment took a while to sort itself out but two days ago he figured it all out.
"I'd been thinking about it but I thought about what was important and staying close was big. I wanted to be close to my family. I visited the school early and I liked the players.
"I'll come in and play the three and come in and knock down 3's. They're losing two senior small forwards so he wants me to come in there and start."
