Post Summer Rankings: 2004 Centers

The class of 2004 centers looks fairly strong, with a few players at the top of the list with the potential to be recruited on a national level...

Robert Swift is the top center in his class, but the gap is narrowing. Swift needs to play with a more consistent effort, and focus, in order to fulfill the potential that he showed last year. If he does reach his potential, he could be as good as any center in the country. David Burgess is the best rebounder among West Coast centers and he plays hard all the time. He's not a spectacular athlete, but he's the kind of player coaches love. Robert Rothbart could very easily play the power forward spot. He's got great ball skills on the perimeter and needs only to get bigger and stronger in order to become one of the elite posts in the country. Chris Miles is a sleeper with great upside. Very good hands and feet, with pretty decent shot. Sam Rayburn is another sleeper. He has a good frame, runs well and has a nice stroke.
