2008 Introduction: Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson, a 6-3 junior shooting guard from Colorado, was very impressive this past weekend in Las Vegas. We caught up with him on Sunday and talked about the early stages of his recruitment.....

Reggie Jackson, 6-3 JR SG Colorado Springs (Col.) Palmer, is a quick and explosive prospect. I hadn't seen Jackson until Sunday at the Pump tournament and he was very impressive. He's got a nice stroke with range beyond the stripe and he can also get to the rim. He's very lean and rangy, with the potential to be a very good defender. I want to watch Jackson some more but, off of one viewing, he looks to be a potential high major prospect.

I spoke with Jackson on Sunday and asked about the schools that have expressed interest in him to date.

"Air Force, Colorado, Wyoming and Colorado State," said Jackson.

I asked Jackson what he is looking for in a school.

"Probably the campus, the weather and facilities," said Jackson.

Jackson said location is not a big deal for him.

"Location doesn't really matter," said Jackson. "My parents would kind of like me to stay in the west, but they want me to do whatever I have to in order to be successful."

Jackson said he will consider a team's roster when he makes his choice.

"I'll look to see what guards they have returning or who else they have coming in," said Jackson.

Jackson said he doesn't anticipate an early decision.

"I probably won't decide until after my senior year," said Jackson. "I'll do it when I find the right school."

Jackson told me he has a 3.4 GPA.
