"It pretty much felt like a school for me," Kelly told Scout.com. "It's the right system where I can fit in easily with a great coaching staff."
Last Sunday, Kelly said that Valparaiso, Florida State and Illinois were tagging him but DePaul was his most ardent pursuer. A day after the Hensley Run ‘n Slam, Kelly took his final unofficial visit and found DePaul to be his choice.
"The offense is what I like to run – run and gun. I'm a vocal leader and I love to win."
The Chicago native will leave the Windy City – he prepped at Boys To Men Academy this year – for a final season. He'll be either at American Christian or Stoneridge Prep before returning home where he'll spend the next four seasons.
"(Location) was a big factor. It's going to be a fun experience that I'm looking forward to it."
