(Scout.com, No. 46), one of the top unsigned seniors in the country, announced he will sign with Florida
at a news conference on Monday afternoon.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Lucas, who starred at Bellaire High (Texas) and is the son of former NBA player/coach John Lucas, also considered Kentucky and Oklahoma State.
"I'm going to Florida," Lucas told Scout.com as he walked into the press conference at his school.
Lucas will now turn his efforts and try and lure his friend, Patrick Patterson, to go to school with him in Gainesville.
"I'm pushing it; I'm going to get him. He's going to hear a lot from me."
Patterson is expected to make an announcement on Wednesday and choose from Florida, Kentucky and Duke.
