Recruitment Slow To Get Started

Denver Mullen power forward Matt Klieforth's recruiting is going slow. However, with a bigger senior season, things could pickup.

Schools Making Some Calls

Matt Klieforth is a young man we first saw at the Spiece Run ‘n Slam event in May. At the time, we thought he had a chance to be a nice mid-major player. Apparently, his recruitment hasn't really accelerated.

"I've gotten a couple letters and a couple of phone calls," Kleiforth said. "I'm still kind of looking around and stuff."

The phone calls have come from Utah, Toledo and New Orleans. So far, no school has asked him for a visit and has not been up to see him during the evaluation period. "I guess I kind of expected to be hearing from schools some more. I expected to be talking to them a little more."

Klieforth already has a qualifying ACT and SAT. Last season, he averaged just 9 points and 9 rebounds. However, we imagine he would improve significantly on that based on his spring play with the Colorado Chaos. "I just maybe didn't have that one good game I needed when the coaches were there."
