Long Time Leader Finishes The Race

Brandon Wallace said all along that one SEC program led for his services. On Monday, Wallace made it happen.

South Carolina Lands Wallace

Brandon Wallace visited South Carolina last weekend. The Gamecocks had been his favorite school. On Monday night, he pledged allegiance to the SEC school.

According to a source close to the situation, Wallace informed the Gamecocks that he would be enrolling in Columbia next fall.

Dave Odom's push for in-state players won't stop with Wallace. In fact, looking ahead, Wallace is good friends and an AAU teammate with prime USC target Ra'Sean Dickey. Both young men play for Dion Bethea's South Carolina Ravens.

In Wallace, Odom lands a player more than capable of playing the face-up-forward slot. He's a fine shooter from 3-point range. As his body matures in college he should be able to capitalize on his good hands and play more inside.
