Seeley's Future Is Golden

After a strong showing in a weekend tournament, D.J. Seeley took the final step toward securing his future in the Pac-10. Seeley picked a school Tuesday morning.

D.J. Seeley, a standout from Modesto (Calif.) Modesto Christian, is going to play in the Pac-10.

The California Golden Bears secured a commitment from the fast-rising 2008 wing scorer. Numerous programs showed interest including Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Kentucky and Arkansas. However, after a strong event in Tucson last weekend, the Golden Bears got it done.

"I think he really has a good relationship with Coach Braun," Dortha Young, Seeley's mother told Scout.com. "I think he trusts him."

"I think they've been on him a month or two but I've met with Coach Braun and I really him. He's grown and we want him to stay in California. D.J.'s really excited. We met with the academic advisors and he's excited about the whole thing."

The Golden Bears are getting a nice player. Likely to move into the Scout.com Top 100 the next time around, Seeley is a bucket maker. A good touch and the ability to move around the perimeter and score translates to the Pac-10 game.
