Buffaloes Add Two Recruits

The Colorado Buffaloes used an early weekend in September to lure two prospects to the big 12 school. One of them was Houston Select point guard Marcus Hall.

Buffs Add Two From Weekend Visit

Ricardo Patton moved quickly and during the same recruiting weekend. In early September, the Buffaloes hosted Houston Select point guard Marcus Hall and Athletes First small forward Keith Smith. Recently, the Buffaloes gained commitments from the both of them.

Hall had been looking at SMU, Tulsa and Nebraska. He came on strong at the end of the summer for Houston Select and showed good leadership skills.

Smith, a fine physical specimen who has range on the perimeter, also considered New Mexico and Tulsa. "I was deciding from the schools in the final stages of it and Colorado had more pros than cons. I liked the location and wanted to play in the Big 12. That's a plus."

The strong bodied small forward had his eyes set on the Big 12. "I liked being able to come back and play at home twice a year and I'll play in a conference against the best players night in and night out."
