2008 Introduction: Justin Hamilton

Justin Hamilton, a 6-9 junior post prospect from Utah, didn't get much attention prior to this year. But after a solid showing in April, a number of schools have begun to express interest in Hamilton...

Justin Hamilton, 6-9 JR C Lone Peak (Utah) High, has a solid frame and he moves well. Hamilton showed a willingness to bang in the spring and he's a pretty good rebounder. His offensive game is still coming, but that's not unusual for a young big.

We spoke with Hamilton recently and asked about the schools he's heard from to date.

"Utah, Weber State, Portland, Oregon, San Diego, UC Davis and Washington State," said Hamilton.

We asked if any schools have offered a scholarship.

"Davis pretty much offered," said Hamilton.

Hamilton talked a little about what he's looking for in a school.

"The location is important -- I want to stay in the west to midwest area," said Hamilton. "Early playing time isn't that important. I just want to go someplace that is the best for me."

Hamilton has taken unofficial visits to Utah and Weber State.

"I really liked both places," said Hamilton. "But I don't have anywhere to compare them to right now."

Hamilton said he's not yet ready to make a decision.

"I'll probably decide sometime after the summer," said Hamilton.

Hamilton told us he has a 3.8 GPA.
