"It was just that they're a good program at a nice school," Johnson said. "They've got talented players and we can make a run in the future."
Last season, Johnson averaged 24.3 points, 13 rebounds and a trio of blocks. The junior shot 61% from the field. "They see me as a versatile scorer," Johnson said. "I'll come in and work hard plus they're losing three perimeter players and I can come and play right away."
Johnson, who runs with All-Ohio Red, visited the school on Friday. He said at that point during the visit he knew exactly what he wanted and wasted little time in telling Gregory he'd be a Flyer.
"At that point I knew it was time. They have a good basketball environment. It's always a sell out crowd and I'm looking forward to playing there."
