2008 West Coast Rankings: Point Guards

The 2008 West Coast class of point guards has a few elite prospects at the top of the class and good overall depth throughout the group. Malcolm Lee, Jerime Anderson, Larry Drew and Garrett Sim are among the top prospects...

After a very weak 2007 class of West Coast point guards, the 2008 class delivers a very solid group of prospects. Lee gets a slight edge for the top spot due to his upside. His size, quickness and shooting ability make him one of the top prospects in the country. Lee is versatile enough that he will probably be able to play multiple spots in college. Anderson is a pure point who grades out at above average in most aspects of the game. Anderson has a solid frame and he's an underrated athlete. Among the players on this list, Anderson has the best feel for the game. Drew has good overall ball skills and he too understands the position of point guard. Drew has good vision and he's adept at setting up teammates. Sim isn't well known outside of the west, but he is a very intriguing prospect. He has an excellent feel and a good-looking stroke with three-point range. Norris has good quickness and a solid handle. His shot is just fair at
this time, but he can run a team and he's a good defender.
