NBA Profile: Dashan Harris

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The nation's 9th ranked point guard is actually in a much better position than his ranking would even indicate. With the proliferation of point guard commits, Harris' position with colleges improves almost daily.

Dashan Harris, Montverde Academy's 6-foot point guard is in a great position. Literally there aren't three point guards rated higher than him available.

"Those schools on the list, the ones I remember off the top of my head are the ones that are coming hard," Harris said. "I'm sure there's more but I let my mom, dad and Coach Sutton deal with that."

"The List" is Florida State, Cincinnati, USC, California, Indiana and Kentucky. "Most of the schools say I'm top priority on their list," Harris said.

Ok, now that we've established his marketability, what's it going to take to win his signature? "Really it's the head coach and his style of play. I'm looking to develop a relationship that's similar to the one with Coach Sutton. I want that style of play cause I'm a real up and down type of guy."

Harris is an interesting story. A native of California, he spent at year at a school in Alabama before settling in at Montverde Academy outside Orlando, Fla.

"Going from L.A. to Alabama and now to Florida it opens me up. I realize I don't have to go back to L.A. to play college ball. It's not a problem for me and I feel I can go anywhere to be in a good situation."
