Marcus Dove, 6-7 SR SF Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan, is an intriguing player with a substantial upside. He's had trouble staying focused on his game in the past, but there were signs this summer that he may have turned the corner and might now be ready to turn into the player many thought he would become.
According to Dove, he's narrowed his list to Arizona St., Kansas and Oklahoma St. "Those are the three finalists," said Dove.
Dove will be taking an official visit to Arizona St. this weekend. He said he plans on tripping to Kansas and Oklahoma St. in October.
We asked if any of the schools have separated themselves from the others. "No, I don't have a leader -- they're all even," said Dove.
When questioned about the factors he would consider when making his choice, Dove replied, "Location doesn't matter. I am looking at the rosters -- who they have, who they're recruiting. Playing time is an issue. After I visit the schools, I want to see where I could see myself living."
Dove told us he scored 860 on the SAT and said he shouldn't have a problem qualifying.
