2008 Introduction: Jared Dubois

Jared Dubois, a 6-2 senior guard from Southern California, comes from a Westchester program that has produced a ton of talent over the years. Dubois tells us he has a couple schools at the top of his list..

Jared Dubois, 6-3 JR SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester, is a lanky lefty with pretty good overall ball skills. Dubois has played some point in the past, but we view him primarily as a two at the next level.

We spoke with Dubois recently and asked about the schools that have been recruiting him.

"SMU and UNLV are the main two," said Dubois. "And Utah a little bit also."

We asked Dubois if any schools have offered.

"Yes, SMU has offered," said Dubois.

Dubois told us he took an unofficial visit to UNLV a while ago.

"It was a good visit," said Dubois. "It's a great school, a nice campus and the atmosphere is really good there. The community really supports them."

We asked Dubois about the factors that are important to him in choosing a school.

"I want to go to a place where the players have gone on and had successful lives," said Dubois. "Not necessarily successful in basketball, but just someplace where the program prepares them for their life after they leave college. Style of play is also important. I want to play in an up-tempo system, where the play defense and push the ball."

Dubois said he doesn't have a timeframe for making his choice.

"I'm not really sure about the timing," said Dubois. "I'll talk to my coaches and whenever it feels right I'll decide."

Dubois told us he has a 3.3 GPA.
