Tyreese Breshers Reconsiders, Will Stay West

Tyreese Breshers, one of the top posts players in the West Coast class of 2008, has changed his mind about going across the country to Miami. Instead, Breshers will be attending college a little closer to home...

Tyreese Breshers, 6-6 SR PF Los Angeles (Calif.) Price, has decommitted from Miami and committed to Washington, according to Price High coach Mike Lynch.

Coach Lynch explained Breshers' situation to me this morning.

"Tyreese really enjoyed his visit to Miami and liked what they had to offer," said Coach Lynch. "But after returning home and sitting down with his family, they decided that it would be best if he stayed on the West Coast. It was really about staying closer to home."

Coach Lynch went on to say, "Tyreese and his family contacted Coach Romar a few days later and committed to Coach Romar. Washington had been Tyreese's choice before making the commitment to Miami and he decided that Washington was where he wanted to be."

Breshers is a player with considerable potential. While he's only about 6-6, his body type, long arms and explosive leaping ability allow him to play much bigger. He's one of the best shot-blockers in the west and he figures to be a good low post scorer as he gains more experience.
