Kendall Williams, 6-2 SO PG Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos, is one of the elite prospects in the West Coast class of 2010. He has advanced skills for a player his age, along with a very good feel for the game.

I spoke with Williams today and asked him about the status of his recruitment.

"I visited UCLA with my parents yesterday," said Williams. "We walked all over the campus, to the dorms, met with the academic advisor and the strength and conditioning guy. We spent time with Coach Howland and I got to meet some of the players. We spent about four hours there."

Williams said three schools currently top his list.

"My top three right now are UCLA, Arizona and Florida," said Williams. "UCLA offered yesterday and Arizona offered a while ago."

I asked Williams if he has a timeframe for making a decision.

"Not really, but we don't want to milk it just to be recruited," said Williams. "When we decide the time is appropriate, that's when it will be."

I asked Williams about his parent's impressions of the UCLA visit.

"It definitely boosted UCLA high on their list," said Williams. "It's their top pick and they definitely would like me to go there."

I asked Williams if he has any other visits planned.

"I'm going to Arizona next Thursday for their camp," said Williams.

An excellent student, Williams previously told us he has a 3.6 GPA.
