He's turned his good fortune into solid scholarship offers and recently narrowed his original list. "I trimmed it down to five schools," Holloway said. "I've got Cincinnati, Tennessee, Nevada, Virginia and Gonzaga. I talked to the head coaches at each place."
Holloway's is try and make visits to each but wouldn't rule out making a decision before all the trips. He's been to Cincinnati and Virginia as he played in events on those campuses. "I think I'm comfortable enough where I could make a decision but even when I went to the two schools you didn't really have a chance to look around," Holloway said. "I've seen the gyms and the dorms but I didn't get to see the academic buildings or outside the schools."
From the sound of it, Holloway still needs to see programs before making an informed decision. Though he shies away from naming a leader a pair of programs are emerging.
" Tennessee, I know they play on TV a lot," Holloway said. "I like Cincinnati's tradition of how they play. I like the toughness of Cincinnati basketball.
"I really don't have too much of a leader. There are some schools that I like. I like Tennessee a lot and I also like Cincinnati a lot."
