Holloway's Recruitment Picks Up

After playing well in July, Murphy Holloway has a few new schools in the picture. The 6-foot-7 forward discussed his recruitment and a new school that jumped into the picture.

Due to his solid summer player, Murphy Holloway's recruitment has steadily intensified. The Irmo (S.C) Dutch Fork standout is picking up scholarship offers and has a few new schools on his list.

He's hearing the most from Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, Florida and Louisville. According to Holloway, they've all offered scholarship except the Gators and Cardinals.

At the recent LeBron James Skills Academy, Holloway had a few prospects jockeying for position with him. He mentioned that two of his peers are trying to persuade him to a specific school.

"[Recruiting's] going good right now," Holloway said. "Samardo (Samuels) and Tyreke (Evans) are trying to get me to go to Louisville with them. Tyreke hasn't even committed yet, but he told me if I sign, he'll sign."

Holloway did more than just talk recruitment at the LeBron camp. The 6-foot-7, 185-pound combo forward played an aggressive brand of ball and attacked the basket relentlessly.

"I think I played aight. I improved on a lot of stuff during the summer like jump shooting and my off hand. I think I improved my all around game."

Holloway is ranked No. 67 in the class of 2008.
