Hunter Commits To Hogs
Apparently, Sunday was a big day in the life of Vincent Hunter. He committed to Arkansas during his weekend official visit to the school. "It's a dream for me," Hunter said.
"I just liked the atmosphere down there. It's wonderful down there and the players are down to earth. I just hate that the seniors won't be there when I get there."
Arkansas head coach Stan Heath did a lot of work on the 6-9 forward in the summer. Then, a ton of programs came into his home this month. Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Penn State, Tennessee, Iowa and Kent State each paid visits to him.
But, Arkansas' staff really made it an easy selection for Hunter. "They did a very good job. They came into my home visit and I had already made my mind up. I just had to hold out for my official visit."
If you haven't seen Hunter play, immediately you think Jonathan Bender. Facially, he favors the Pacers forward. His game is similar in that they have like style. Here's a young man who was off the national radar, did some nice things at the AAU Nationals and could very well finish off the year as a Top 100 prospect.
"I'm underrated," Hunter said.
He's probably right.
