4 More Years For Steele Family

It came as no big surprise on Thursday that combo guard Andrew Steele would follow his brother's lead and commit to the Tide. The Steele's are to 'Bama basketball what the Bush Family is to the White House!

The Steele Family, when it's all said and done, will have supplied the University of Alabama with 8 years worth of basketball talent. On Thursday, after considering Mississippi and the Tide, Andrew Steele pledged to Mark Gottfried's program. In the process, he'll join his brother who is a starter on the team now.

"We're proud of both of them," Ron Steele, Sr., said. "I don't even know how to answer that. I'm just happy he made a decision to go there and he's not far from home and he can come home when he wants to. If you can stay near home it helps.

"The coaching staff was great. Coach Gottfried is a good coach. All those guys are family oriented and they care for the kids well being outside of basketball."

The unique aspect of the decision, outside of the Steele Brother's reunion deals with JaMychal Green. Scout.com's Top 20 prospect, Green and Andrew Steele have been considered a package. No word yet on Green's plans.

While Ron is manning the controls as the Tide's point guard, his younger brother is set to play a combo role for Gottfried.

Their father said, personality is the big difference but on the hardwood they think alike.

"Ron dribbles better, Andrew jumps higher. As far as the concept of the game, they're neck and neck. They're smart with the game and they're going to give you their all and they'll work hard to make it happen."
