When there's a particular school you want to attend and they offer, it can be tough to hold back. Marcus Denmon, upon getting the green light, committed to his dream school on Monday.
Kansas City (Mo.) Hogan Prep guard Marcus Denmon
had a dream. There was always a pair of schools that he envisioned himself attending. "It was either Kansas or Missouri
for me," Denmon said. "It seems like Missouri fits the best."
On Monday, a week after showing interest in Colorado, Kansas State, Florida State and Marquette, Denmon picked up the phone and pledged allegiance to the Tigers.
"It was nothing on my part," Denmon said. "It was all on Coach Anderson's part. He told me that he wanted me at Missouri. I was already ready to commit but he told me that he wanted me to be a Missouri Tiger; always has. He was ready for me to do it and he made it happen."
Denmon, a standout with the successful K.C. Pump ‘n Run program, should serve in a combo guard role for the Tigers up tempo attach. "My ability to score and play defense will help," Denmon said.
