Davila Reveals Final Five

Victor Davila, a native of Puerto Rico, is going to spend the next four years of his life playing basketball in college. On Monday, Davila's five finalists were revealed and visits are being arranged.

Victor Davila, one of the top prospects in the state of North Carolina and a Scout.com Top 100 player, has trimmed his official list to 5 schools.

Florida, Memphis, VCU and a host of others were eliminated over the weekend and calls went out to the finalists early Monday.

"We've narrowed schools down to five," Donnie Livengood, Davila's guardian told Scout.com. "Clemson, Iowa State, UNC-Charlotte, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. We talked to all the coaches and told them how much we appreciated their attention and their support.

"We talked and this was Victor's five where he thought he would be most happy and most comfortable. Everybody was good and respectful and understanding; they were professional."

All the schools on the list have offered. Wake Forest's situation is a tad unique in that when the Deacons offered Davila they had a ride available for him. As it stands now, they don't have any openings after landing two frontcourt commitments in July.

So far no officials have been set up. The Deacons and Charlotte are close and could be managed easily. Clemson, Iowa State and the Hokies need to get their dates locked down.

" We are looking at October as the month where we think about doing something. I want Victor to enjoy his senior year, work on his academics and play basketball."
