Cyphers Sifts Through Process

Jordan Cyphers has offers and some programs that are trailing him hard. He's also in bit of limbo as big schools decide on whether or not to commit a scholarship.

One thing become clear this summer: Jordan Cyphers was going to receive looks from the mid and high-majors because of his knack for busting 3s. As a high school junior at Wichita (Kan.) Southeast, Cyphers connected on 47% of his trifecta tries.

Heading into September, he's counting Arkansas, Utah, Wichita State, Michigan and Illinois as his favorite five programs. However, not all have offered. Cyphers feels hot and heavy recruitment from the Hogs, Shockers and Utes, claiming offers from all three.

Others like Illinois and the Wolverines have not offered to date. Cyphers is waiting a while longer to see how it plays out. George Mason and the Shockers are likely September visitors. Texas Christian is also in the mix. As for the schools that haven't offered?

"If they gave me a scholarship I'd play hard every second I'm on the floor," Cyphers said. "They can get that guarantee."

How long will he wait for the big boys to offer? "Probably until the end of September. I think it's in their hands now."
