"It's different," Tchiengang said about his transfer to Montverde (Fla.) Academy. "There are lots of rules to go by and the coaching is different. Everything is different from what I'm used to."
This past summer, Tchiengang proved himself worthy of a spot in Scout.com's Top 100. Checking in at No. 65, Tchiengang showed he's capable of playing inside or outside. His jump shot was one of the most notable improvements.
"I got better and I learned where to be and how to play in certain situations," Tchiengang claimed. "I think I improved my skill set."
"The people that have been on me since my sophomore year are still here," he said. "The only thing that was really surprising was Georgia Tech."
In the next few weeks he will take a handful of official visits. On September 22nd he'll travel to Notre Dame. Then on October 2nd he'll make the trip to Baylor. His last scheduled visit is to Oklahoma on October 18th.
"I'm looking forward to taking visits and seeing the places and seeing how all of the teams work," Tchiengang said.
Tchiengang indicated that Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Baylor, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech make up his final five. Each school has offered him a scholarship. He plans to sign in the early signing period.
