Jones Falls In Love; ACC-Bound

Some guys don't need any visits; others need five. DeQuan Jones,'s No. 52 prospect in the senior class, felt great after his first visit and decided to end his process.

DeQuan Jones didn't expect to commit to Miami. Visits to Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma and Cincinnati were on the board. He won't get to make those visits. Miami locked him down over the weekend.

Jones Can Sky!
"The feeling I got when I stepped out of the plane was incredible," Jones said. "What made me notice it was when I spoke to one of the academic directors. When you first meet someone and reach out and shake their hand? She didn't shake my hand she gave me a hug like I was family. It was amazing."

The Hurricanes are the proud owners of the No. 52 prospect in America. Jones, a Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler product, was excited to find a strong fit.

"It was one of those things. You really have to visit a school before you make a decision. You have to get a feeling for the city and the school. You ever had that feeling where you just go somewhere and everything is right? I had that feeling."

The Hurricanes will be injected with a dose of big time athleticism. Regarded as one of the elite athletes in the class, he'll find the floor early in Miami.

"I think I need to work on my perimeter game. Not so much critique it but perfect it. At the next level that's where I'll be playing. Plus, I gotta get stronger."
