Rocky Mountain Duo Loves B.C.

Al Skinner's program has been one of the best in the nation when it comes to mining talent outside its regional borders. Skinner's crew sets up pipelines and then taps into different areas for players. This week he found a new vein out west.

The Boston College Eagles have found new areas for prospects in the past. At one time they were mining talent out of Minnesota. Another is was California and you know they've been in Texas some as well.

Last week, Al Skinner's program found a new state: Colorado. The Eagles landed Top 100 prospect Reggie Jackson and 3-star small forward Dallas Elmore.

"We're hoping the headline is going to be the Rocky Mountain duo does it in B.C," Travis Jackson, Reggie's brother told Scout.com.

Elmore On Board

On Aug. 28 the Colorado Select duo began their visit to Boston. Elmore, according to Travis Jackson, committed the final day of the visit. Jackson would go home, sort through his options and recently made the decision to pick B.C. over Nevada, his other finalist. He's ranked No. 100 in the nation by Scout.com and 23rd at his position. Elmore is No. 36 on the small forward list. Both will be ready to play as freshmen.

"B.C. provided everything we were looking for academically and athletically," Jackson said. "It's the ACC; maybe the best conference in college basketball. I think they're ranked 25-35 out of universities in the country. Plus we thought Boston was a great area. They had great personnel and good coaches."

Jackson attends high school at Colorado Springs Palmer and Elmore goes to Fort Collins Poudre.
