No Rush For Witherspoon

An upcoming visit has Wesley Witherspoon excited, however he doesn't plan to come up with a decision any time soon.

Wesley Witherspoon made a name for himself during the evaluation period this summer. The interested schools recently turned up the heat and this weekend he'll head to a SEC program for an official visit.

"[Recruiting is] going good," he said. "I'm taking my first official visit this weekend to LSU. This is my first one for the fall and probably going to be my only one during the fall."

The Tigers, as well as Kansas State and George Washington have made Witherspoon a priority. He also claims interest and scholarships from Texas, Florida State, Clemson, Illinois, Memphis, Kansas and Connecticut.

"A lot of schools started recruiting me after AAU was over," Witherspoon said. "I heard from a lot of schools that I hadn't heard from before. It was cool."

Despite taking an official visit this weekend, Witherspoon has no intentions of making a decision in the near future. He wants to wait and sign during the second signing period.

"I'm probably going to chill out until basketball season starts. I'm not going to sign until May."

In the post July rankings, Witherspoon came in at No. 57.
