Landesberg: ACC or Big East?

Small forward Sylven Landesberg is on the back end of his official visit slate. After taking trips to Virginia and most recently St. John's, only Georgia Tech remains before his decision is to be made. Will it be Big East or ACC?

Sylven Landesberg, Scout.com's No. 39 prospect in the Class of 2008, has taken 2 of his 3 official visits, the most recently being St. John's.

"It informed me of a lot of things I didn't know previously (about the campus)," Landesberg said. "Usually when I've been to St. John's I'm just in the gym. It was bigger than I expected it to be. During August, well I've been there like every day to shoot around and play in the gym. I basically knew all there was to know about the team."

Virginia hosted Landesberg a few weeks ago and along with Georgia Tech, remains in contention. "I've been to Texas but its pretty much Georgia Tech, Virginia and St. John's."

St. John's and Virginia had successful visits. "I knew about Virginia," Landesburg said. "I've seen the gym when I went to NBA Camp but I left because I was sick. When I went there I was just amazed by everything I saw."

The Yellow Jackets invited Landesberg to town for a visit this coming weekend. After the trip, he should be able to gather the information, do some comparison shopping and make a decision. "I want to be able to come in and play. They're all going to let me come in and play; if not start big minutes. I want to play and I have to get a good mixture with the guys. I'm comfortable with all the coaches. I'm going on these visits to meet the players and get comfortable with them."
