Delwan Graham's play at the end of the summer helped him pick up a handful of scholarship offers. Now Graham is getting close to a decision and he has his school list down to LSU, South Carolina and Mississippi.
This past weekend Graham took an official visit to South Carolina. He watched one of their practices and got a feel for where he can fit in their program.
"I liked it," Graham said. "I liked it when I watched them practice and how I got to see how everything is done when they're practicing. I checked out the facilities, watched the team practice and I got to talk to the academic specialist."
The week prior the Dunwoody (Ga.) High standout took a trip to Mississippi and took in the Rebels campus. He also got the chance to hang out with the players and coaches during their football game against Missouri.
"The Ole Miss visit went pretty good too," Graham said. "I basically got a tour around campus and learned about the weight training coach and saw the weight room. I also met the team, the players and the coach."
Originally, Graham had a trip on tap for Auburn, but the 6-foot-6, 210-pound power forward cancelled it. Instead he's headed to LSU for his third, and most likely final, official visit.
‘I'm going to try and make my decision once I get back from LSU," he stated. "A couple of days after, I'm going to sit down and talk to my family and see what they think and get their input. But mainly I'm going to figure out how much I liked one school over another."
Graham, who is ranked No. 68 overall and No. 21 at his position, is looking for a school where he can come in and compete for playing time next year.
"Basically I'm just looking at how I fit in with the team and if I'll have to red-shirt or just go in and play. Also the relationship with the coach will be a factor."
