Hamilton Headed To Big 12 Conference

Justin Hamilton is one of the best "unknown" big men in the country. A Big 12 school was well aware of the talented prospect, though, and he gave them a commitment this afternoon...

Justin Hamilton, 6-10 SR C Highland (Utah) Lone Peak, has committed to Iowa State.

Hamilton was a bit under the radar this past summer, but he's one of the elite post prospects in the west for the class of 2008. Hamilton has a good frame, very good hands and feet, and he's an excellent competitor.

I spoke with Hamilton this evening and asked him why he chose Iowa State.

"I liked the fans and the school overall," said Hamilton. "The coaching staff is really good and I like the guys they have. I fit in well there."

Hamilton's other finalists prior to making his decision were Pepperdine and Weber State.
