Damian Lillard, 5-11 SR PG Oakland (Calif.) High, is one of the elite point guard prospects in the West Coast class of 2008. While he's not a true one, Lillard has the skills and athleticism to play the position. He's very adept at getting his own shot and he's got a nice upside.
I spoke with Lillard recently and asked about the schools he has visited so far.
"I went to St. Mary's and Weber State," said Lillard. "St. Mary's was okay, but I liked Weber better. I liked the coaches and players, as well as the city."
Lillard has a couple of official visits upcoming.
"I'm going to San Diego next weekend and Boise State the following weekend," said Lillard. "I'm also starting to hear a bit from Colorado State. After the Boise trip, I'll probably be ready to decide."
