Hill Picks Big East Program

Devin Hill didn't feel like waiting any longer, so the 6-foot-9 big man made his decision and called the coaches Tuesday evening. He'll be playing his college ball in the Big East.

Devin Hill had another official visit scheduled for this coming weekend, but the 6-9, 200-pound forward decided he had been on enough trips, as he made a verbal commitment to DePaul on Tuesday.

"I went there two weeks ago and I thought it was real nice," Hill said. "I had never been to Chicago. I thought it was real nice. I met all the guys and I thought it was real good. They had a lot of big guys and a lot of guards and I could just see a space for me."

The New Caanan (Conn.) St. Luke's School standout built a strong relationship with Coach Wainwright and he liked the fact that the DePaul head coach kept a close eye on his players.

"He was real good in the in-home visit and the assistant coach came to my high school last week after I had already visited. That was real good too."

"He talked about how all of his players have to go into his office and talk to him everyday and just talk to him," Hill said. "It doesn't matter if it's about basketball, they just have to talk to him and I thought that was real good."

Hill picked DePaul over strong interest from Seton Hall, UMass, St. Louis and Bradley.
