Damian Lillard, 5-11 SR PG Oakland (Calif.) High, told me this afternoon that he has committed to Weber State.
"It was the right fit for me and my family," said Lillard. "They were very sincere in what they were saying and they were the first school recruiting me."
Lillard had a terrific showing in July and numerous West Coast programs got involved after the evaluation period. Lillard had already visited St. Mary's and he was scheduled to visit San Diego and Boise State in the next couple weeks. But after a trip to Weber State, Lillard decided to pull the trigger and end his recruitment.
I have Lillard rated very highly among the West Coast point guards -- he's currently #5 on my list -- and I expect him to have a great career at Weber St. He should be an All-Conference performer in the Big Sky before he's done playing for the Wildcats.
