Cornelius Ends His Recruitment

Andre Cornelius took an official visit to George Mason and the Patriot staff sold him their program, as he made a verbal commitment before returning home.

Andre Cornelius made his presence known with the Atlanta Celtics this summer and he'll soon be a presence in the Colonial Athletic Association, as he committed to George Mason on Saturday.

"I was down there on an official visit and I felt like it was the right fit and they told me I'd start right when I come in," Cornelius said.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound rising senior built a relationship with the George Mason coaching staff and ultimately that's what sold's 38th ranked point guard on the Patriots.

"I had a good time up there this weekend and I like George Mason a lot," Cornelius said. "I know a lot about them and I talked to them all the time and they came to my house and stuff."

Cornelius, a standout at Charlotte (N.C.) Victory Christian, picked George Mason over Toledo and a host of other schools.
