Finds Familiarity In CAA Power

The George Mason Patriots dipped into central Florida for a commitment this week. Kevin Foster recently visited and ended his recruitment.

Kevin Foster could have gone to Marshall, Tennessee Tech, Tulane or George Mason. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-7 power forward out of Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen picked the Patriots.

"I think it's a great fit for them," Kathleen coach Drew Taylor said. "They've got a great coach. He's a great teacher and Kevin can go in there and do wonderful things."

Taylor's Red Devils program has been a standard in Florida for some time. Its produced the likes of Rashad Anderson (Connecticut) and Chris Richard (Florida). Taylor thinks the transition for Foster should be seamless given Mason's success.

"I think Kevin really liked playing with those guys. They're winners already and Kevin's been playing at a winning program. He'll be able to compete to get into the rotation and that's all you can ask."

As a junior Kevin averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds.
