Warren To Take A Pair of Big 12 Visits

All-american candidate Willie Warren is slightly over a week away from taking his first official visit. This fall he'll see a pair of Big 12 programs.

Willie Warren, Scout.com's 24th ranked prospect in the Class of 2008, is about to venture off Oak Hill's campus and take a pair of official visits. The 6-foot-4, 190 pounder's recruitment has developed at its own pace. Warren opted not to conduct in-home visits and himself has had limited contact with the college coaches. However, official visit dates for a pair of programs were recently agreed upon.

"He's visiting two schools in the fall," Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said. "It'll be Oklahoma next weekend and Kansas the week of the 19th."

Two other programs currently reside on Warren's short list: Cincinnati and Connecticut. However, he won't visit those schools before the start of the season which could prompt a late signing.

"We play the 27th of October against Progressive Christian and we play every weekend until our break," Smith said of the schedule that leaves little room for jaunts off campus during the powerhouse schedule for the Warriors.
