Terps To Host Foreign Big

Ater Majok, a Sudanese big man by way of Australia, will be on Maryland's campus this coming weekend.

The Maryland Terrapins are going to host an international prospect this weekend. Ater Majok will be on campus and he's from the American International School in Carlingford, Australia.

Does the name sound familiar? Majok committed to Baylor a few months ago. "He's rescinded that commitment and he's taking his official visit to Maryland," John Coleman, Majok's U.S. strength coach told Scout.com. "We get there Thursday evening and are there until Saturday."

Majok's pledge to Baylor came too fast Coleman said. "Once he got over here he was impressed with their facilities. He did what a lot of guys did and made an impulsive move." Now California, Houston, South Carolina, Washington State and potentially Kentucky may join the fray.

"He's getting looks from a lot of programs," Coleman said. "The buzz is out on him now."

The Terrapins, victims of a de-commitment from Terrence Jennings, get first crack at what some have described as a future professional player."
