Ravenel Finds A Place In The ACC

Evan Ravenel was one of our favorite power forwards during the summer session. Now the Brandon product is set to commit and he's used his final visit to make sure of his final destination.

A lot of times in the recruiting game it pays to go last. Just ask Boston College. After making visits to Penn State, Wichita State, Tulane and Virginia Tech, power forward Evan Ravenel visited the Eagles this weekend and promptly ended his process.

"I like the way Coach Skinner has developed his guys," the 6-foot-7 power forward out of Brandon (Fla.) High told Scout.com. "I was talking to the players and they love their relationship with him and the way he coaches. Going up there made the difference for me."

Ravenel's just the type of players the Eagles win tons of games with. A Scout.com 3-star recruit, Ravenel was highly regarded and recruited but still a shade under the radar and that's how the Eagles like their recruits.

BC's plan for Ravenel is basic: work hard, earn your time. "(Coach Skinner) said he's going to try and use me as a four in my first year. Depending on how hard I work, that'll determine how much I play. Right now they lost Craig Smith, Jared Dudley and Sean Williams to the NBA. They need posts and Boston College is the highest level of basketball."
