Kuric Ends His Recruitment

Kyle Kuric decided it was time to end his recruitment. The 6-foot-5 wing is headed to the Big East Conference.

For the second time in as many days the University of Louisville picked up a recruit in the 2008 class. Yesterday the Cardinals nabbed Terrence Jennings and today they picked up Kyle Kuric.

"Today I talked to Coach Pitino about it and I just felt like it was time to make a college decision," Kuric, who is a 6-foot-5, 175-pound wing, said.

New Louisville assistant coach Walter McCarty is from the same city as Kuric and he built a strong relationship with the Evansville (Ind.) Reitz Memorial standout, as did Rick Pitino.

"I have a real good relationship with Coach McCarty and with Coach Pitino. I just think that Coach Pitino can develop me into the type of player that I want to become."

Kuric, who is rated as a three star recruit on Scout.com, picked the Cardinals over interest from Southern Illinois and Michigan.

To go with Kuric and Jennings, the Cardinals also have verbal commitments from Melquan Bolding and Samardo Samuels in the 2008 class.
