Graham Commits During Visit

It didn't take long for Tyree Graham to make a commitment on Friday. While on the first day of his visit, the 6-foot-1 guard gave a Big 12 school a verbal commitment.

Tyree Graham knew he wanted to be a Red Raider before he stepped off the plane in Lubbick, Texas. So after his meeting with Bobby Knight, he gave the Texas Tech head coach a verbal commitment.

"I just love the environment," Graham said. "I know it's not the biggest town in the country, but I feel like playing under coach Knight will really help me have a chance to do things other than just basketball."

"Texas Tech is a very good academic school and they are very big on business and I'm trying to major in business management. Coach Knight works you hard and he really gets something out of you that you didn't know you had."

To go with the environment and the academics, Graham, a standout at Fayetteville (N.C.) Village Christian Academy, said he enjoys being around coach Knight and that was his primary reason for picking the Red Raiders.

"I got to meet him today and meet him one-on-one and he talked to my dad. He just told me that I could help his program and I feel like his program can help me too. I feel like it'll be a good fit for me to come in and play under coach Knight."

Graham picked Texas Tech over interest from South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Baylor, Kansas State, Clemson and Syracuse.
