Big Ten Power Gets Holloway

Terrell Holloway, a point guard out of Harmony Prep who ranks among the Top 20 at his position according to Scout.com, is off the board.

The Indiana Hoosiers now have another option at the point. On Monday night, Cincinnati (Ohio) Harmony Prep's Terrell Holloway made it official and will join a Big Ten powerhouse.

The Indiana Hoosiers moved on the 6-footer from the northeast once a scholarship for his position opened up. "Terrell Holloway is committing to Indiana tomorrow that seems to be the hot bed," New England Playaz coach T.J. Gasnola said.

Holloway visited the campus for Hoosier Hysteria and warmed up to the program immediately. "I was always kind of interested but they weren't recruiting me," Holloway said. "With the Bud Mackey situation they needed another point guard and I was one of the few."

Holloway continues a trend of recent pledges, including Devin Ebanks, from the northeast corridor.

"I guess guys are looking for a good place where they can play basketball. It's not one specific thing other than it's a good place to play basketball."

The Hoosiers presented Holloway with scenarios that meant playing time at his position for a major power. "They sold me on the history and being able to run the team. They've got other guards but some are combo guards. Coach Sampson is telling me I can be the point guard of the future there."
