Walker Will Wait Until Spring

Martez Walker, a three star prospect by Scout.com, is developing a list of schools and is about to embark on some visits.

Martez Walker made a number of changes this year including decommitting from Louisville and switching high schools. Now the 6-foot-6 wing is developing a new list and starting to plan visits.

"Recruiting is going real well right now," Walker said. "A lot of schools are recruiting me. Me and my coach and my father are just narrowing the list down right now."

Among the schools showing interest in the Aston (Pa.) American Christian standout are VCU, Texas, Seton Hall, Pepperdine, Mississippi, Minnesota, Georgia and Fordham. Walker isn't sure which schools have offered him a scholarship.

"They haven't [all offered], but they are all recruiting me very hard and are all in the picture," Walker said.

From here, Walker, a three star prospect in the class of 2008, is looking to set up and take a few visits.

"The next step in the process and is to take a couple of visits and getting to see some of the campuses. I just need to try and figure out, when the time comes, which place will be the best for me."

"I know me and my coach are trying to set up some things in the first part of November. I'm trying to take visits to Seton Hall, Pepperdine and Fordham. Once the season gets started I'm going to try and take a few visits on the west coast too."

Walker said he definitely plans to wait until the spring signing period to make his college decision.
