Blue Demons Land Scorer
Tyler Smith led Baltimore Douglas to a state title last year. Now, he's prepping at Philadelphia Lutheran. The left handed scoring guard, by all accounts, was a strong DePaul lean and now we know that to be true.
Late Sunday night, we learned that Smith had indeed committed to Dave Leitao's bunch, giving the Blue Demons a pair of Top 100 commitments. New Yorker Sammy Mejia was the first player to pledge to the new Blue Demons regime.
Our sources think Smith won't be the only new for Blue Demons fans in the coming days. We hear Lorenzo Thompson is going to announce on Tuesday and DePaul is said to be heavily involved with him as well.
Marcus Heard, another in-state product, visited Boston College over the weekend, but he's got DePaul in his top three. So does Florida big man Wesley Green. The Eustis center visits DePaul later this month.
