Green Runs Out of Visits

Wesley Green has filled out the remainder of his official visit slate. With trips the next two weekends and a potential unofficial visit in the works, Green is narrowing his focus.

Marquette, DePaul Up Next

Plenty of schools have made their way onto Wesley Green's list. Plenty have fallen off or gone in different directions. But now, Green has filled out his final visit slots and will go from there.

"I go to Marquette this Thursday," Green said. "Next Thursday is DePaul and that's my last official visit. I'm going to take an unofficial to South Carolina."

Those are the three programs that Green is talking about now. He took official visits to Indiana, Florida State and Tennessee. Green says that South Florida is out because of location. "South Florida did a great job recruiting me. The location right now is bad. I don't want to be that close to home. It's not about them. They did everything first class." We know Green says USF is out, but history tells us not to count out the hometown schools so fast in recruitments that drag on this long.

While many prospects around the nation are quick to lockup roster spots, Green feels like his process lags behind and there's a reason. "I couldn't make my decision as fast as everyone else. If I'd had been at Nike or adidas maybe I would have my decision by now." Green feels like he was slow to be discovered by programs and that means his recruitment isn't as advanced.

"I want to make the best decision. I don't want to rush it. Everyone who has made a decision already made the best decision for them."
